IMANI TAFARI-AMA

​Dr. Imani Tafari-Ama is a Jamaican cultural anthropologist, author, lecturer, and curator known for her extensive work on gender, development, and postcolonial studies. Born on August 1, 1960, in Manchester Parish, Jamaica, she holds a Ph.D. in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam, as well as a Master's in Women and Development Studies and a Bachelor's in Communication with Language and Literature.
